| Details: | SUMMARY: Water Rights Clarification DETAILS: System operates a 40 connection system within the Westport Heights development. The systems water source is groundwater from a single well, which has had issues with iron bacteria and requires pump replacement every 12 to 18 months. Pump replacements cause the system to be down for up to a week. The system would like to drill a secondary well to provide the system with backup water supply during these periods. However, the modifications to the system’s water rights are required in order to drill the second well. Furthermore, the existing water rights limit use to only 15 homes. I made initial contact with system personnel regarding water rights needs. ACTION NEEDED: Once more information is provided by the system, further assist with clarification/ recommendations on water rights requirements. | ||
