This is a deep well (835 ft) that is adequately constructed.
Nitrate concentrations have been less than 1 mg/L, suggestion that there is little or no water quality impact from activities at the surface. Without more information, total coliform positive results are assumed to be the result of natural bacterial growths within the well, which could occur if there is cascading water from above the static water-level and/or stagnant water at the bottom of the well. A video log of the well might be useful to examine the integrity of the well casing and the origin of any bacterial growth but based on the currently available information there does not appear to be a public health threat due to viral contamination.

The well draws water from a deep confined sand aquifer that is capped by 70 ft of silt.

The location of the well is not precise enough to evaluate the well for possible GWUDI monitoring and/or sanitary setbacks based solely on distance criteria. However, since the well draws water from a deep confined aquifer, it is unlikely that the drinking water supply would be contaminated by either of these potential contaminant sources.
