| Details: | SUMMARY: follow up on apartment resident compliant DETAILS: Alison called to report that the water from the taps in her apartment residence at 22707 NE Halsey in Fairview has a strong odor, and is creating a yellow, crusty material around the faucets. Indicated that she sees skin sores on her son, not sure of cause of that - I recommended she pursue this with primary doctor. Indicated that this has been occurring for a year. I followed up with City of Fairviews Derrick Yates at 665-9320, and he emphasized that the City flushes mains regularly and that he has recommended that apartment managers regularly flush within their distribution systems to turn water over within their piping. I stated to Alison this information, and that the City has sampled regularly for coliform near her residence and that results have all been absent recently . She wanted someone to come out and test her water. I recommended that she pursue that with her apartment manager, or with the City of Fairview, who may have information on local plumbing code compliance. ACTION NEEDED: None specifically at this time, will continue to provide support and coordinate efforts with City to resolve complaint. | ||
