| Details: | SUMMARY: Compliance with Groundwater Rule DETAILS: The system has a domestic water system consisting of a single well serving 100 people through 46 connections. The well water is chlorinated and runs through a UV system that has not been approved for the inactivation of viruses. The system has positive coliform results in their source water. The well samples also tested positive for E Coli. The EPA Groundwater Rule mandates that corrective actions are taken to either fix the source or provide for 4 log-treatment of the viruses that would be associated with positive E coli results. HBH visited the water system to inspect the equipment and area available for installation of either tankage or additional piping to provide for adequate contact time to meet the 4-log inactivation of viruses. I completed preliminary recommendations report. ACTION NEEDED: Modify recommendations report if required following coordination with system and DWP. | ||
