Details: SUMMARY: Coliform Ecoli alert DETAILS: Left message for Christine. Routine sample positive. 4 repeat samples required within 24 hours. 1 sample from the source and 3 samples in the distribution. spoke with Christine 6/17/10 at 8:15 am and she shock chlorinated the distribution when she found out she had Ecoli positive. I discussed the importance of taking repeat samples prior to shock chlorinating in order to confirm if the positive sample is valid. The well was not shock chlorinated. Advised to take 2 samples from the well and 2 samples in the distribution. Also left a message for Amy Parmenter to discuss proper protocol once a system has been shock chlorinated prior to repeat sampling. ACTION NEEDED: 4 repat samples required. Waiting for results.
