| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up positive coliform DETAILS: Received alert 7/2/10 and Brittany May contacted operator and left message. We received email from Brad Daniels that he also contacted them and spoke to Mary on 7/2. He informed her she needed to take repeats ASAP. They also discussed shock chlorinating the well and issuing the boil water notice, the need to collect 1 sample per quarter, chlorine residual, and having someone available on site to respond to this sort of occurrence. 7/6 I called Mary again and she wanted me to speak to the other Mary. I went to the park. They had boil notice posted on laundry room and bathroom doors. Discussed issues with Mary. She went door to door on 7/2 and told residents about boil water notice. She also supplied them with 2 gallons of bottled water. Mary said she still hasnt taken her repeat samples. She said the chlorinator is not working and she had Stutzman Services out today to repair it. It needs additional parts so Stutzman took the chlorinator out of service to work on it. They shocked well today. I explained to Mary that to take repeats immediately after they were notified. She still needs to take the repeats after they flush the well. Talked about requirement to sample for direct influence of surface water. Explained that they should be doing the monthly raw water samples. She said she talked with Russ Kazmierczak and explained it was a seasonal creek not a year round creek. She says he told her he would look into it further and get back to her. She said he never called back. 7/7/10 contacted Russ to update him and he said he would call her. Also, called Brad back to update him. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
