Details:	SUMMARY: OERS call to report diesel spill into irrigation canal DETAILS: Received call from Lynda Muriera, Public Health Duty Officer who was called by OERS regarding a diesel spill into a canal in Crook County. Apparently 20 gallons of diesel spilled into an irrigation canal near SW McCaffery Rd and Powell Butte Hwy. The Central Oregon Irrigation District operates the canal and has shut it down. DEQ and Ag have been notified. I spoke with the tech services contact for Crook Co. Michelle Byrd-- she said there are no surface water intakes at all in Crook County. ACTION NEEDED: No further action needed.
