Details: | SUMMARY: Lead Control (Corrosion Control) DETAILS: School is in the Eagle Point SD. It has had recorded levels of lead at high as 0.0386 mgl. (Action level is 0.0155 mgl) The schools source water comes from a well. Currently the raw water is chlorinated and then distributed throughout the system. There is no corrosion control currently being used by the school. The school contacted HBH for assistance in determining the proper course of action to reduce lead levels below the MCL. I also provided a report detailing the recommended action for the school, based on the “Revised Guidance Manual for Selection Lead and Copper Strategies”. I also provided recommendations regarding existing hyprochlorite system. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time. |
