Details:	SUMMARY: Chlorine solution pump repaired and installed DETAILS: The repaired chlorine solution pump has been installed. The solution pump rate is set to be proportional to the flow through the filter system. The maximum rate of the solution pump is 3 gpd so I recommended that the solution mix using 12.5% bleach be diluted to 2% by adding 5 gal water to 1 gal bleach. James has determined peak flow through system is 50 gpm so the solution pump rate is set at 1.8 gpd max. 2%solution=20,000 ppm , 50 gpm=72,000 gpd, desired chlorine residual=0.5 ppm, therefore 20,000ppm X (feed gpd) = 72,000gpd X 0.5 mg/l, feed rate at 50gpm=1.8gpd ACTION NEEDED: 8/12/2010 James reported that anti siphon valve is needed because chlorine is injecting into gravity flow line. Valve on order and should be installed by 8/17.
