| Details: | SUMMARY: OERS spill complaint follow up DETAILS: Keith called today regarding an observed green dye-like substance in the Molalla River, upstream from the Citys intake (OERS Incident # 2010-1955). It was about a half mile long, and first observed on Sunday 8/15 in the evening. A sample was collected of river water impacted and sent to Alexin today 8/16 for analysis. Results due on 8/17. Keith and I discussed sampling for general chemical and physical properties to assist City in knowing if any operational changes to their treatment were needed. City not planning on turning off plant. DEQ has been contacted thru OERS. ACTION NEEDED: Provide support to City as lab results come back on river sample. Determine appropriateness then of notifying downstream user on Molalla River-Canby PUD. | ||
