| Details: | Received a complaint about large water leaks throughout the water system. Contacted Erica Jo Anderson, Operator for the water system, and she explained that the system did repair a recent large leak that required the posting of a limited boil water notice on August 27, 2020. The water system repaired the leak and collected special samples to demonstrate that the repair did not contaminate the distribution system. The boil water was lifted on August 29, 2020. We also discussed other leaks that were reported by the complainant and the operator said the leaks have been either repaired, scheduled for repair, or she was not aware of the leak. One of the reported leaks, located in the vicinity of Thorn and Pinon Roads,would be investigated later today. Also, talked to Sam VanLaningham, Oregon Water Resources Department Assistant Watermaster, who also was responding to the complaint regarding the leaks at the water system. Mr. VanLaningham indicated that the water system has a Quasi-Municipal water right and their agency was limited in what they can do regarding the leaking water lines. |
