| Details: | SUMMARY: Slow sand filter maintenance procedures DETAILS: Drain below level of sand, to point about 8-10 inches below sand surface. Scrape off about 1/4 inch. Once filter is ready, bring up water level and run to waste for a few hours or longer, depending on need for water. Turbidity is below 1 NTU before sending to distribution. ACTION NEEDED: None | ||
