| Details: | SUMMARY: operations update DETAILS: James is operating the filtration system year-round at the direction of the water board. - He changed the chlorine solution mix to 1 / 4 chlorine (12.5%) to water from my(Gary Burnett) original 1/5. The chlorine residual has been running 0.4 mg/l with the settings he has now.- His peak flow this time of year is 30 gpm (about 12 full time homes on system). The low flows is one reason the chlorine has been so difficult to keep adjusted properly. Even in summer peak flows are generally about 50 gpm, but irrigation tends to complicate things. Due to the fact that he lives there and can tend the plant several times a day, they did not run out of water in the tank this summer.- He is getting good runs on the bag filters now, about 1 week. Ed Gardner (supplier) is going to come up this fall and help him replace media in both of the sand filters. Only one sand filter has been working this summer and thats another reason he has spent quite a bit of extra time keeping things adjusted. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
