| Details: | SUMMARY: Citizen complaint DETAILS: Lee called to report a possible cross connection hazard at neighbors residence. Reported seeing a garden hose connected from house to a horse trough that may have been immersed in water. Had questions about Citys authority to require an approved cross connection control assembly on the residences connection to system. I stated that City did have authority to require installation and annual testing. I reiterated that he follow up with a formal written notice to the City, as the City administers the program. I referenced States recent 2009 survey which documented that City had enabling ordinance and tested assemblies annually. ACTION NEEDED: None specific at this time. DWP to offer support to City to promote awareness of potential backflow hazards to their customers if City requests assistance. | ||
