| Details: | SUMMARY: E. coli Positive Source Sample Follow-Up DETAILS: Drove to the site with John Zalaznik of the North Central Public Health District. Met with Paul Odell. Inspected reservoir and had minor recommendations. The reservoir is chlorinated and provides contact time for disinfection of the spring water. Inspected the springs. Both spring areas were heavily overgrown with brush and trees, with evidence of deer and bird scat in the immediate area of the spring collectors. The seals on the lids of the spring boxes were not tight, and some of the masonry needs repair. ACTION NEEDED: Paul agreed to attempt to eliminate the source of contamination by clearing the brush and trees inside the fenced spring areas to eliminate cover for wildlife, improve the seals on the collector lids, repair masonry of collectors as needed, repair fencing as needed. After this work is done, the springs will be resampled. | ||
