| Details: | SUMMARY: positive e. coli source samples DETAILS: The system collected 5 source samples on 9/13 as a follow up from the positive e. coli source sample last week. Four of the samples tested positive for e. coli and the 5th was total coliform. An inspection of the spring box by the operators did not reveal any obvious signs of contamination. ACTION NEEDED: The system will get the problem spring turned out from going into the distribution system. It was also suggested to clean out and chlorinate the spring box. Since the system is getting ready to shut down for the season, thought the system should take one source sample in a couple of weeks, then take 5 samples prior to opening next season. | ||
