| Details: | SUMMARY: Assistance with Loss of Pressure - Service Outage DETAILS: I spoke to Jim today about the no pressure/loss of pressure that occurred on 9/30/10 for a brief period (1 hour) in the Salsman Road area. A valve that had accumulated sediment had to be cleaned/fixed. The residents that had zero pressure were notified immediately (approximately 15 residents). Chlorine residual levels were maintained around 1.5 mg/L while repairs to valve being made. Since pressure was restored at time DWP notified, boil notice to affected users was not warranted. Two special samples taken in the affected area on 10/1/10 returned coliform absent on 10/4/10. DWP indicated to Jim that future no pressure events require an immediate boil water notification to affected users and that the District needs to contact DWP right away. DWP forwarded BMP for Service Outages due to Reduced Pressure Events to Jim. ACTION NEEDED: Jim to incorporate BMP into system protocols, and DWP to provide support as necessary to Corbett. | ||
