| Details: | SUMMARY: Complaint Response DETAILS: Received message of water quality concerns from a restaurant owner in Spray. Called Ms. Richmond-Harris. She has been serving boiled and/or bottled water in her restaurant based on the language regarding those at increased risk that appeared in the recently distributed public notice for the September total coliform MCL violation. She had concerns that she could be held liable in some manner for serving the tap water. I advised her that total coliform bacteria by themselves are not considered a health risk, and that she was going above and beyond what the Department requires in this situation. Also discussed the citys temporary chlorination of the water system, and that the notice could come down after a set of passing samples are collected. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
