| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed monitoring violations DETAILS: I spoke with Bernard Hewes regarding the recent monitoring violations. It seems that this system has been collecting routine samples from the source water wells serving the system. Samples were mistakenly marked as source-water assessment samples instead of routine samples because they were in fact collected at the well. Thus the system received a violation for non-reporting of routine coliform samples. I talked to Bernard about the fact that samples should be collected in the distribution system, and not from the well. I also told him that we may be able to remove the violations. ACTION NEEDED: Determine if the monitoring violations can be reversed. Technical staff from the Pendleton office may follow up with Bernard to answer any remaining questions. | ||
