| Details: | SUMMARY: E.coli+ repeat samples DETAILS: I received a report 5pm on Tuesday 11/2/10 that 2 of 4 repeats collected on 11/1/10 came back +EC. I spoke with Marys husband by phone-- he indicated that in response the system had increased the chlorine residual level in the system. He said that more repeat sampling would be done today 11/3-- I asked him to also take a source sample prior to treatment as required and he indicated he would. I informed him that the system would be required to notify customers with a tier 1 public notice within 24 hrs and I emailed him a template. I left a message with the county notifying them that I had contacted the system. ACTION NEEDED: The county will follow-up with the system. If the system is batch chlorinating, they will need to install a continuous chlorination system and go through plan review. Note: public notice was received from the system evening of 11/2. | ||
