Details: SUMMARY: Temporary routine positive for sample date 10/14/10. DETAILS: Called Meg to let her know that the sample labeled at the 2152 ek rd well hb was tc+. This system has a pitless adapter well head so the sample tap closest to the well is being used as a source sample. It turns out that this bib is a frost free faucet and thus not suitable for water sample collection. Let her know that samples should no longer be taken at this faucet. There is a hose bib in the well house that is too close to be taken at this faucet. There is a hose bib in the well house that is too close to the ground for effective water collection. I recommended that they re-plumb this faucet to allow for source sample collection. She said she would talk to the property owner and hopefully get the changes made. I let her know that five temp routine samples will need to be collected in the month of November to get back into compliance. I e-mailed a completed public notice to DHS-DWP for the TC MCL from 10/06/10. ACTION NEEDED: Monitor follow up sampling and respond if necessary.
