| Details: | SUMMARY: Funding Assistance DETAILS: Laurel Acres operates a small system that serves approximately 50 people through 18 connections. Water from the well is chlorinated them pumped to a 6,000 gallon storage tank. From there, water is re-pressurized and distributed throughout the system. System has had positive coliform results from their source water, which triggered source water monitoring per EPA Standards. The samples also tested positive for e Coli. The EPA Groundwater Rule mandates that corrective action are taken to either fix this source of the problem or provide for 4-log treatment of the viruses tat would be associated with Positive e Coli results. System contacted HBH to provide assistance with compliance with the Ground Water Rule (GWR). Recommendations were made that detailed how system could comply with the GWR. I discussed options with system personnel. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to assist with funding application. | ||
