| Details: | SUMMARY: Copper Al Exceedence DETAILS: Jefferson Baptist Church operates a small school with approximately 100 students and 10 facility members. Water is supplied to the school from an onsite well. Water is chlorinated and has a pH adjusted with soda ash, prior to storage in a 2,300 gallon tank. The water system has had a historical lead level exceeding the AL. This is the purpose of the soda ash system. In the most recent testing, the copper level exceeding the AL. HBH was contacted by the water system for assistance in reducing the copper level to below the action level. I completed recommendations report based on the EPA’s “Revised Guidance Manuel for Selection of Lead and Copper Control Strategies.” I made recommendations immediate corrective actions. ACTION NEEDED: Provide additional guidance for water system as needed. | ||
