Details: | SUMMARY: Compliance status DETAILS: Jolene e-mailed: "I am a resident of Lyons, and our City Hall has made residents aware of the deficiencies of the Lyons-Mehema Water District. Obviously, we are very concerned that very important tasks are not being seen to in a timely matter, and extemely concerned about possible contaminates. I spoke to Kelly at the Lyons-Mehema Water Distict last night, and she assured me all testing had been done, and all copies of paperwork had been sent in. Sadly, my faith in that just isnt there. Could you please tell me if you are the person whom they would notify of the correction of the deficiencies? And if so, have they complied? If not, who would be the person that could give me this information. Thank you so much for your time." ACTION NEEDED: Reply by e-mail: I am the person that Lyons-Mehama Water District (LMWD) contacts when they correct deficiencies. LMWD has until various dates to comply with various deficiencies. Some of the deficiencies identified in August have been addressed, some are in the process of being addressed, and some remain to be addressed. The Drinking Water Program (DWP) is watching the calender to see that LMWD meets the due-dates for those that remain. As of November 10th, 2010, the day of the LMWD Board meeting, there were still required analyses (testing) that had not been done. My understanding is that the sample containers needed for those analyses were on order by LMWD but not yet in hand. That indicates an effort to comply, so DWP awaits the results. Please understand that some analysis reports may take weeks to reach DWP. |
