| Details: | SUMMARY: Responded to Coliform and E. coli Positive DETAILS: Four of the five confirmation samples taken from Well #2 confirmed E. coli Positive. Spoke with John Clarke. Well #1 was taken off- line several years ago due to high Nitrate levels. Well #1 has been valved off and is not currently serving the water system. Well #2 SRC BA (the back-up) is the well that is currently connected and receiving the positive Coliform and E.coli positive samples. Chlorine residual levels were below the required .2 mg/L required four-Log inactivation of viruses during the last routine sample in September 2010. A public notice boil water was required until water operator can verify that chlorine residual levels of .2mg/L are being met and recorded on a daily basis. Recommended taking "special" sample for Well#1 to see where Nitrate levels are at and if Coliform or E.coli were present. ACTION NEEDED: Boil Water Public Notice required. Copy to Lane County within 10 days. | ||
