| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussion on Plan Review 185-2010 for chlorination DETAILS: Bill Billingsley called to discuss plan review requirements for their system. He said that Joseph Federico said the system needed to initiate plan review for the installation of disinfection in order to address coliform problems in the system. I asked if the spring construction had been evaluated and he said that it hadnt been discussed. I explained that their past practice of batch chlorination can mask potential source contamination, which is why we do not allow it and that typically the source construction is addressed first before chlorination is installed. They are considering installing an erosion chlorinator type Biodynamic XT2000S tablet feeder. I told him to draw up a brief schematic and fax me what info they had on the chorination system to 971-673-0694 and that I would speak with Gregg Baird and Joseph Federico regarding the next steps. I told Bill that I would fax (503-985-7450) him more info on the plan review process once his information is reviewed and discussed with Joseph and Gregg. ACTION NEEDED: System to submit what information is available on the proposed treatment and Evan Hofeld to discuss plan review requirements with Gregg Baird (DWP) and Joseph Federico (WA Co).
