| Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The City owns and operates a surface water system that provides water to 9,540 people through 3,500 connections. Water from Abiqua and Silver Creek is treated by a conventional water treatment plant prior to disinfection with sodium hypochlorite. HBH was contacted by Steve Starner to provide assistance with a contact tracer study to determine the amount of contact time in the reservoirs before the first user. The tracer testing is complicated by the current lack if a delivery meter following the contact reservoir. I met with City Staff at water treatment plant to perform tracer testing. Circumstances beyond control of HBH necessitated delay of the testing. I preformed reservoir drawdown calculations. ACTION NEEDED: Perform tracer testing. | ||
