| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to E. Coli positive well #2 sample - well off-line DETAILS: Micah called to report that well #2 (off-line for well reconditioning) returned 3 E. Coli positive source samples (Nov 22, 29, & Dec 8). Well was flushed after each sample, and disinfected after one, but dontinue to test positive for E. Coli. DWP required 4-log treatment in 2008 plan review - system has adequate CTs for well #2. I discussed that if DWP geologist concurs with earlier finding that well construction adequate, system can address fecal positive source sample by beginning compliance monitoring under GW Rule. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to review well log, and draft corrective action letter to address fecal source positive sample under GW Rule, for City to respond to. Micah and I discussed resolving issue prior to well being brought on-line. City prepared to begin compliance monitoring. | ||
