| Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The System recently constructed a surface water treatment plant to treat water from Tandy Creek. This treatment plant consists of 2 pressure garnet sand filters follows by Strainrite cartridge filters. Disinfection is by sodium hypochlorite. The system provides water to 70 people through 32 connections. HBH was contacted by the district to provide assistance with a contact tracer study to determine the amount of contact time in the reservoir and transmission mains before the first user. It is theorized that the high level of iron deposits in the transmission piping is resulting in a high chlorine demand. I researched source of high chlorine demand in the system between the treatment plant and the first user and coordinated with DRC Operator. I developed methodology for tracer testing. ACTION NEEDED: Coordinate methodology with DWP staff and perform tracer testing. | ||
