Details: SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Spoke to Wayne and informed to collect 5 repeat samples as follows: 1 at same site, 5 connections upstream, 5 connections down stream, 1 random 1 raw at well head due to chlorination for residual maintenance and posting public notice if any repeat samples were positive. Also informed Wayne to collect 5 routine samples for October. Wayne informed REHS that water system would be shut down for 6 weeks during construction. REHS called Fred Kalish to discuss if plan review process was followed and to discuss sampling protocols for water system that is shut down. State was aware of changes to be made and had granted a conditional approval. Decision was made to collect 1 raw water sample at the well head and for Fred to inactivate system during this time period. All of this information was relayed to representative with the city of Yachats Jon who is contracted to oversee system for the USFS. Fred inactivated system 9/9/10 ACTION NEEDED: none
