| Details: | Spoke with Lorin and Mike (Shiloh Water) this morning and they have found the problem. The ion exchange treatment requires salt to work and the salt was completely empty. Salt was replaced and another sample will be collected soon. The school is back in session but no children are onsite. There are only ~10 staff onsite. They have been informed of the situation and are drinking bottled water. The school has a contract with Shiloh water to maintain the treatment (including replacing the salt) but some how it got missed. I will work with Lorin to have the system check the levels more frequently (written procedure for O&M) to prevent this from happening again. I will consult with DWS DMCE to determine the monitoring schedule for nitrate going forward. | ||
