| Details: | The water system collected a nitrate sample on 9/16/20 that tested at 12.2ppm. The water system posted a nitrate notice and collected a follow up sample. The follow up sample was collected on 9/16/20 and had a result of 11.5ppm. The nitrate notice is to stay in place until the nitrate level is below 10. There have been preliminary discussions with the water system to install a treated sample tap in the employee breakroom. Until then, the notice is posted and bottled water is available. The nitrate sample schedule has been changed to monthly starting 10/1/2020. Also, in discussions with the water system, Simplot has moved off of the shared system onto their own. The water system in this alert will now be referred to as Hermiston Power Plant, LLC. *Simplot was contacted on 10/1/20 and does not have the population to meet the definition of a PWS* |
