| Details: | SUMMARY: follow up to e. Coli alert DETAILS: A site visit was made to Locust on 1/10/11. The initial positive results were received on Friday (1/7) and repeat/confirmation samples could not be collected till the following Monday (1/10). Five confirmation source samples and 4 repeat distribution samples were collected. At the time of the visit on Friday, there was no chlorine residual. On Monday, there was a residual of 1.2 ppm. Roberto had changed one of the pump tubes in the chlorinator. The boil water order will not be lifted till the results of the samples are received. System also needs to ensure a chlorine residual can be maintained on a daily basis. ACTION NEEDED: Frequent testing of the chlorine residual by the water system to make sure the chlorinator is working correctly. Further action will be determined by the pending results. | ||
