| Details: | SUMMARY: follow up to elevated nitrate alert DETAILS: System took a nitrate sample on November 17, 2010. The result was 5.48 mg/l for nitrate. Since the result is over 1/2 of the MCL - the system was placed on a quarterly schedule. The nitrate levels have gradually risen over the years. Schedule to be reevaluated after quarterly sampling is complete (through 3rd qtr 2011). System was also asked to get radionuclide sampling complete to be able to set the schedule. ACTION NEEDED: Take 3 quarterly nitrate samples in 2011 - (1st-2nd-3rd quarters). Rads: 2 quarters of Gross Alpha, 1 quarter Radium 226/228, and Uranium - 3 quarters. | ||
