| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform 11/30/10 DETAILS: Michael Perry from the state contacted this office to notify of the ecoli positive. I contacted Roger to let him know they need to go onto a boil water notice because of the 2 distribution system ecoli positives. I let him know he might try coaling the OAWU circuit rider. He said he was interested so I gave him their phone number. They may be able to help track down the source of the Ecoli since the well was absent for Ecoli. I emailed Roger the link to the boil water public notice as well as the FAQ for a boil water. He said he would send out the notice to the users of the system as well as calling each house. 12/6/10 Roger called back and was able to get Heath from OAWU out to check out the system & believed the 12 K tank lid was leaking. They have covered the tank with a tarp & disinfected the system. I let him know he should do a couple of special samples after the disinfection of the system to verify the Ecoli & coliform are absent. If the samples come back clean they can lift the boil water notice. I let him know the state will be looking for 5 temporary routine samples for the month of December.
