| Details: | I called Caitlin today to talk about the repeat distribution samples that came back total coliform positive. This has triggered a level 1 investigation. We have some ideas of why the positives have occurred and this will be reflected on the investigation. The first issue noticed was that the chlorine residual has been reported at about 0.06 which is too low for sanitizing the drinking water through distribution. She has made changes to freshening the chlorine tablets which got the concentration up to 0.11. The system will be contacting the manufacturer if the concentration continues to be an issue further. The other issue noticed on the water system was that the screen was pushed to the side on the reservoir. This has been fixed and will hopefully reflect on further testing. | ||
