| Details: | SUMMARY: Single result over the MCL for TTHM and HAA5 DETAILS: An alert for a single DBP sample set showed unusually high DBP results for both TTHM and HAA5. On November 18, 2011, Edge Analytical sent over the full lab results, which had a data qualifier for trichloroacetic acid. On January 27, 2011, Pyxis labs who subcontracted with Edge for the analysis, invalidated the TCAA result. The system received a monitoring violation for not having valid HAA5 results for 3rd quarter 2010. The running annual average for TTHM exceeded the MCL at the end of the 4th quarter 2010 and public notice was required. Sampling on 1/18/11 brought the running annual average down below the MCL for both TTHM and HAA5. ACTION NEEDED: System is to issue public notice using the template provided to the system for the TTHM RAA MCL violation for 4th quarter 2010 and continue quarterly DBP monitoring. Subsequent results will be closely monitored and the system is working to identify ways to mitigate high levels in the distribution system. | ||
