Details: Purchasing surface water system incurred 8 excursions by measuring 8 values of pH and alkalinity in the distribution system in August, below the minimum values established of a pH of 7.9 and an alkalinity of 35 mg/L. Seven of the eight excursions occurred on a single day where pH values were below 7.9 at seven different locations in distribution. I indicated that this is not a violation, as there were fewer than 10 total excursions in any rolling 6-month period. Marty indicated that the pH and alkalinity values measured were generally above the entry point minimums at the wholesaling plant, North Clackamas County Water Commission, of 7.5 pH and 25 mg/L alkalinity, set lower than OLWSD's values. OLWSD to discuss increasing soda ash feed at NCCWC to meet OLWDS's minimums. NCCWC's minimum EP's parameters met during August, and OLWSD's lead and copper tap sampling below action levels for summer 2020, according to Marty.
