| Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The system recently constructed a surface water treatment plant to treat water from Tandy Creek. This treatment plant consists of 2 pressure garnet sand filters followed by a Strainrite cartridge filters. Disinfection is by solution hyprochlorite. The system provides water to 70 people through 32 connections. HBH was contacted by the system to provide assistance with a contact tracer study to determine the amount of contact time in the reservoir and transmission mains before the first user. It is theorized that the high level of iron deposits in the transmission piping is resulting in a high chlorine demand. HBH coordinated methodology with DWP staff, performed tracer testing and completed report. ACTION NEEDED: None needed at this time. | ||
