| Details: | SUMMARY: follow up to positive repeat samples DETAILS: Roy called about the positive repeat samples. The current operator is out-of-town for a few days. The positive repeat samples gives the hatchery a MCL violation for the month. A public notice is required. Roy asked about a chorination system. A wellhead injection system will not be allowed. We discussed alternatives to moving it down the line. There is not much room to work with in the well building. Possible sources of contamination could be the large pressure tank that has never been cleaned. Another possibility is fouling of any activated carbon filters that may be on the system. Further investigation will be done by the water system. ACTION NEEDED: DWP sent the water system a copy of the public notice to update and post. A copy needs to be sent back to DWP. DWP also sent information about total coliform bacteria, plan review requirements and contact information for a chlorination equipment installer. | ||
