Details: SUMMARY: Chlorinator Installation Assistance DETAILS: The Cove Orchard WA purchases water from the City of Gaston water supply. Water enters the system through a pump station which pumps water up to a reservoir. HBH was contacted by Carrie Gentry to provide assistance with regulating the chlorine levels in the distribution system. The chlorine levels have been affected by the addition of a new reservoir in the Gaston system. The cove Orchard system needs a method for boosting chlorine levels to ensure an appropriate residual at all points in the distribution system. There is an old chlorination system (NaOCI) that has net been in service. HBH met with water system personnel on site to look at possibilities for the rehabilitation of the existing chlorination system or the installation of a new system. ACTION NEEDED: Complete recommendations report. In addition, the system has requested assistance with a water service immediately adjacent to the reservoir which may not maintain 20 psi at all times.
