| Details: | SUMMARY: Chlorinator Installation Assistance DETAILS: System provides water to approximately 200 people in a small rural water system. The water source is two springs. Water flows from the springs to a reservoir. The system experienced some coliform positive samples. In response, the water system is seeking to install a permanent tablet chlorination system. Mr Billingsley contacted HBH with questions regarding plan review and NSF-approved chlorination systems. As the system has experienced e coli positives, the chlorination system would be required to comply with the Ground Water Rule (GWR). As treatment, full plan review would be required and contact information for Marsha Fox was provided. Subsequent contact was made regarding the need for an NSF-approved chlorinator. HBH provided research for other possible NSF approved tablet feeders. Following reconsideration of the installation requirements, discussion possibility of using liquid sodium hypochlorite. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to provide advice to system as requested. | ||
