| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate Alert Response - MCL Violation DETAILS: Spoke with Darcy regarding the nitrate result of 20.9 mg/l from the sample collected 3/16/11. Advised another nitrate public notice would need to be distributed as soon as possible and provide a copy to DWP. Darcy stated she had some past notices that were not sent to DWP. I advised she send in copies of those as well. An arsenic sample was also collected on 3/16 but the result is not back from the lab yet. I advised a separate notice for that will be necessary when the result is received. The owner has been investigating Reverse Osmosis treatement for the park. I advised that nitrate requires all the water going into each unit needs to be treated either by central treatment or point of entry treatment. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to distribute public notice, develop timeline to correct water quality MCLs. | ||
