Details: | SUMMARY: System monitoring parameters DETAILS: Discussed by phone that there is no automatic pump for river water, the mechanics necessary to get river water to the raw water tank does not automatically qualify the system as a surface water system except when river water is in use. Discontinue submitting turbidity data to the state on a monthly basis except when using the river source. The required minimum sampling frequency for total coliforms is quarterly except when using the river source. The Ground Water Rule (GWR) make it necessary to demonstrate the well is not subject to e.coli or provide 4 log treatment for viruses. The first step is to draw 1 sample per month for a year with all sample results being clean of Ecoli and thereafter 1 sample annually. These source water assessment samples are to be drawn after the well head but prior to any filtration or treatment being provided. 4log treatment for viruses entails using inactivation removal or a state approved combination of 4 log inactivation and removal. In this case providing disinfections using the CT tables plus the recently installed Rosedale filter system might be adequate. ACTION NEEDED: Rick to assure state shows the well is ground water and send Rosedale filter info to the state for evaluation. Church may elect to sample & assess source despite any filter info. |
