Details: | SUMMARY: Ecoli detection DETAILS: Shiloh Water installed a chlorinator at the well on 3/22/11 to provide a distribution chlorine residual. 3/23/11 made onsite visit and was unable to get a detectable chlorine residual in the dist. The chlorinator was adjusted to 75% Another visit made on 3/24/11 and still no residual. The chlorine mix was increased. A detectable residual of .5ppm to 1ppm was achieved on 3/25/11 and 5 distribution samples were taken. All 5 were clean and the boil water notice was lifted on 3/28/11 with the state and Marion Co approval. The water system is now required to install either a 4 log disinfect ion system anew well or conduct a 12 month assessment of the well. The temporary disinfection system will remain in place and chlorine residual tested and logged daily. They need to take 5 temporary routine samples in April. System is also being required to do MPA testing to determine if source is GWUDI ACTION NEEDED: System to decide what method of corrective action to take and begin MPA testing. |
