Details: | SUMMARY: Ecoli alert DETAILS: Received notice of alert 4/8/11 at 3:45pm from Daniel Hough. Called restaurant immediately and reviewed the situation with Ken. For this reason, as a precautionary measure these steps were taken: 1) Restaurant switched to bottled water for cooking, hand washing, and drinking purposes, 2) For any dishwashing the chlorine concentration was increased to 200ppm and instructed to allow any dish items to thoroughly air dry, 3) water to the hand wash sinks in the bathrooms was shut off and replaced with a 5 gallon continuous pour spout jug for hand washing purposes, 4) all ice was switched over to purchased ice, 5) signs were posted in the bathroom not to use the tap water. It was also stated that they could boil water for a hard 1 minute boil as well if unable to supply bottled water. Restaurant manager agreed to implement all these steps immediately on Friday early evening. Lastly I noted to the manager that until we knew more about the water and could do the repeat samples, if the system could not meet its water demand for bottled/boiled water over the busy weekend it would need to be closed temporarily. Manager indicated to me that he understood this. See complete information in file. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of repeat samples. | ||
