| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed enforcement deadlines DETAILS: I called Regina to remind her that the Drinking Water Program issued an administrative order in April, and that the Brewster water system has not complied with any of the actions required therein. Specifically, the water system was required to publish public notice by May 2011 and to submit nitrate samples by June 2011 amongst other requirements. Regina stated that the members of the HoA/water system refuse to pay higher water rates such that water samples can be collected. She also stated that no one is willing to act as certified operator, and even though the class is free to receive the necessary small water system certification, she stated that her $29/month stipend isnt enough for her to spend the time to take the course. ACTION NEEDED: Go forward with additional enforcement action if the water system doesnt take steps to comply with the sampling and operator requirements. | ||
