| Details: | SUMMARY: Assistance with repeat coliform samples following a positive routine sample DETAILS: Willy called to say the Lab had informed him that one of his routine samples came back positive for total coliform. This is a very uncommon occurrence there, so he was unsure what to do. I initially told him 4 repeat samples using the upstream/downstream/same site locations. But then looked it up and called him back to say he only needs to take 3 repeat samples (because the population is > 1,000, meaning they take more routines anyway). I also told him he will need to take 5 routine samples next month, instead of the two he usually takes per month. Informed him that he can take those 5 samples all in the same day if he likes, just so they are at different distribution locations. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of repeat samples. | ||
