| Details: | SUMMARY: Secondary standards Fe & Mn, and sulfur DETAILS: Visited to see water softener. Ongoing tournament prevented equipment access. Bandon Dunes currently using previously existing green sand filters to address sulfur smell that showed up after conversion to the WaterSoft product. Water only smells while sulfur volatiliizes, then the water tastes fine. Suggests hydrogen sulfide is source of smell. Discussed treatment alternatives for hydrogen sulfide (e.g., aeration, green sand, elevated oxidant such as chlorine). ACTION NEEDED: Provide information on air stripper vendors. | ||
