| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed enforcement with customer DETAILS: I received a call from a customer (Wendy) at the water system who was given a copy of a recent enforcement order by the Association. She called to find out what needed to be done in response. I provided a basic explanantion of the sampling requirements that the Association is delinquent in and also that the system lacks a certified operator. I explained that the operator training is free and that the sampling requirements are a matter of collecting the samples and then paying for the analysis. Wendy stated that users pay $17.50/month for water service and also that there are a number of children living in the neighborhood. Wendy also inquired about connecting to the City of Salem for water, and I directed her to the City public works dept for information on that subject. I also explained that there is still time to reach a settlement for the civil penalty or if the penalty becomes final, then DWP would likely file a lien against the Association.
